Between 24-25 April 2017, with the cooperation of Konya Chamber of Industry (KSO), Undersecretariat of Defense Industry, Association of Defense and Aviation Industry Exporters and Association of Defense and Aviation Industry Manufacturers, "Konya 2ndIt hosts the Defense Industry Summit and Supplier Days”.
In order to develop the national defense industry in Turkey and to increase the ratio of domestic suppliers, an event is organized where defense industry manufacturers and regional companies will come together, the products produced can be exhibited and bilateral business meetings will be held.

"For a strong Turkey, the Anatolian industry is coming thunderously, with the permission of Allah. If we look at Konya's production and export potential only in the defense industry with a few figures, I think we can see this better. Look; In Konya, more than 100 companies work in the defense and aviation industries. The majority of these companies are registered with the Association of Defense and Aviation Industry Exporters, that is, they export. Nearly 3 thousand brothers and sisters are employed in our companies operating in the sector. Many products such as mortar parts, weapons, bullets, rocket heads, armored vehicle parts and equipment used by the defense industry are produced in our city.
Konya is the largest producer of military weapons and other weapons in Turkey after Istanbul. We also show our presence in the field of motorized tanks and other armored vehicles and their parts. If we look at our exports in the sector, we see that the sector has shown tremendous success. Konya is among the 5 cities that account for 94.5percent of Turkey's defense and aviation industry exports."
